What We Do
Conviron is the world leader in the design, manufacture and installation
of controlled environment systems for the precise control of temperature,
humidity and light for research and production applications. Conviron
products are known and used extensively throughout the world for
agricultural and food research, and many other life science applications
such as pharmaceutical and neutraceutical testing and research.
A Tradition of Success
Conviron was founded in 1964 in Winnipeg, Canada. For most of the
nearly 40 years since our inception, we have focused exclusively
in the design and manufacture of plant growth chambers and rooms.
Conviron has more controlled environment systems, in more research
facilities, in more countries, than any other manufacturer. Our
experience in designing, supplying and installing large scale, custom-engineered,
research facilities is unparalleled.
Much of Conviron's success can be attributed to the fact that for
nearly 40 years we have worked closely with researchers on every
continent to ensure that the products we design and manufacture
meet their specific requirements at fair and reasonable prices.
Scientists and researchers have come to rely on our expertise in
assisting in identifying what they need to make their program a
success. Our in-house team of more than twenty specially trained
engineers, technicians and controls experts are then in a position
to develop innovative, high performance products to meet those requirements.
For many of our customers, the equipment supplied by Conviron represents
only a portion of a larger development project, often including
the construction of a major facility. The ability of our expert
installation crews to work closely with other on-site trades and
contractors is invaluable to our customers. Recognizing that in
the field of research, time is of the essence, Conviron uses project
managers to ensure that all aspects, from the initial sale to engineering,
production and installation, are completed on schedule and in accordance
with ISO9000 standards.
Conviron recognizes that as a partner in research our obligation
extends far beyond the design and manufacture of equipment. With
installations in more than 80 countries, Conviron offers ongoing
customer care through our in-house technical support department
and through a worldwide network of distributors and service partners.
In this way, customers can be assured that their service requirements
are met, both during and beyond the warranty period.
Locations
The majority of Conviron's more than 130 team members work out
of our 85,000 square foot headquarters and production facility in
Winnipeg, Canada. The company maintains sales offices in the United
States, Europe and Canada, with international distributors and service
partners in 70 countries around the world.
