FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Conviron Expands Facility
Addressing issues associated with growth, both in its core business
and as a result of new initiatives, Winnipeg-based Conviron formally
announced today the expansion of its Head Office and production
facility in Winnipeg, Canada. The Company has acquired 20,000 square
feet of office and production space next to its current 65,000 square
foot facility. The two buildings have been joined to ensure as much
efficiency as possible.
"We have seen a steady increase in our business as both existing
clients and new ones engage Conviron to provide solutions to their
ever-changing controlled environment needs," said Conviron
President Steven Kroft. "This growth, combined with our own
objective to expand our already considerable custom design capabilities
to new markets, has caused us to review a number of capacity issues.
Physical space is one of those. The additional 20,000 square feet
provides us with not only more production space, but also more space
for prototyping and development work."
Founded nearly 40 years ago, Conviron has worked with scientists
around the world designing and producing research facilities and
equipment which meet their specific research needs. Employing in
excess of 130 people, Conviron is recognized as the world leader
in its field. Conviron equipment can be found in universities, company
laboratories, and government-owned institutions in more than 80
countries.
