Manitoba Business Magazine Recognizes
Conviron as One of Manitoba's Best
Winnipeg based Conviron has been selected as one of Manitoba Business
Magazine's Best in Business Award recipients for the year 2000.
The award was presented to Steven Kroft, President and CEO of Conviron,
by the Honourable Becky Barrett, Manitoba Minister of Labour, and
Kerry Hawkins, President of Cargill Canada Ltd. and Chairman of
the Business Council of Manitoba.
According to Ritchie Gage, Editor-in-Chief of Manitoba Business
Magazine, "these awards identify companies which have demonstrated
prudent management practices which have coped with transition and
specific challenges in their respective sectors."
"Conviron has been designing and exporting equipment around the
world for more than 35 years", said Steven in receiving the award
on behalf of Conviron and its more than 110 employees. "To be recognized
in this way, at home, where nearly all of our employees live and
work, is particularly meaningful."
Conviron works closely with scientists and researchers from around
the world, understanding their needs and delivering innovative solutions
for controlled environment systems to the agricultural and life
science markets. The company has completed several large scale projects
for customers ranging from international life science companies
to universities and government research institutions.
