Project Manager - Winnipeg, Manitoba

REPORTING TO: TEAM LEAD, PROJECT MANAGEMENT

POSITION SUMMARY

A Project Manager at Conviron will be someone who has the organizational and interpersonal skills required to successfully coordinate projects as needed. Success in this role will require working closely with sales, design, production and installations in addition to communicating with clients in order to ensure project consistency with company strategy, client commitments and goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Manage projects from the early stages of the bid and contract negotiation to successful conclusion, ensuring optimal client satisfaction and financial results;

  • Coordinate projects in accordance with Installations / Project Management RACI model by;
    • Liaising with clients
    • Assessing project risks and planning accordingly
    • Assisting in producing installation estimates and plans
    • Coordinating projects directly and through 3rd party installers
  • Coordinate projects involving building construction and providing equipment through general contractors by;
    • Participating in assessing client and site needs
    • Liaising with general contractor
    • Participating in, or managing, contract finalization with general contractor
  • Close out projects, ensuring all accounts payable and accounts receivable documentation is complete and that a project summary is completed and submitted in a timely manner
  • Traveling occasionally to fulfill responsibilities
  • Preparing non-conformance reports, when necessary, in accordance with ISO 9001 standards

  • Willingness to learn and grow within a project management environment

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent graduate with up to 1-3 years of relevant experience in project coordination or project management; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or project management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with MS Project is an asset
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
