Conviron’s Chairman inducted into Business Hall of Fame

On April 23 at a Gala Dinner in Winnipeg, Canada, Conviron’s Founder and Chairman, Richard Kroft, was inducted into the Manitoba Business Hall of Fame, joining a list of 25 business leaders that have been inducted over the last six years. The prestigious event honored Manitobans whose leadership, courage and commitment to excellence has contributed to the growth and prosperity of the Province of Manitoba. The gala brought together distinguished members of the business community, the families of inductees and several guests including Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman, the Honorable Ralph Eichler, Minister of Agriculture for the Province of Manitoba, and the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, Her Honor Janice Filmon.

A tribute video was presented at the event telling the story of Conviron’s humble beginnings in 1964 and its journey to become the global enterprise it is today, encapsulating Richard’s fascinating career and contributions to the community.

Richard attributed the success in his personal and business life to a simple, firmly held philosophy: “Have a basic set of values for life, understand what they are, and work with people with whom you can share these values. I believe that if anything has led to the success of Conviron, it is that we have a common, deeply embedded and well understood value structure.”
