COVID-19 preparedness

I’m Steve Kroft, the CEO of the CEL group, the parent company of Conviron and Argus Controls. I want to update you on the state of our operations in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Our first priority is the safety of our employees and our communities. Like you, we are heeding the advice of medical experts. Approximately 85% of our non-production workforce across our sites is now working remotely from home, and our production personnel are operating under strict social distancing guidelines. We have implemented a number of measures to ensure that our premises are well-sanitized and our employees are practicing excellent personal hygiene.

Despite these challenging times, our business is carrying on remarkably well. Our design engineers, software specialists and service technicians have the tools necessary to work remotely and continue to work on your projects and provide service support. We have a robust schedule of virtual meetings allowing us to advance your projects efficiently. Our Sales engineers are fully engaged in working with our clients to sort through specifications, provide quotations, and answer questions. And our supply chain remains largely in tact. Our team is energized and working at a high level.

We are proud of our work, and of our commitment to providing researchers and high value producers with the solutions you need to ensure that we can all benefit from a healthy and robust food supply, improved human health, and a healthier planet. At no time in the 56 years since my father founded Conviron has this responsibility been more acute than it is today. Many of you are working tirelessly to solve our grand challenges, and we are certainly facing one of those at this moment. Some of our clients are directly involved in racing to develop vaccines and medicines to combat the coronavirus.

The purpose of my message today is two-fold. First, to reassure you that your partners at Conviron and Argus Controls are ready and able to provide you will the tools and support you need to carry out your important work. We are doing so while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all of our staff. The second purpose for this message is to thank you. Not only for the confidence you continue to show in us, but more importantly, for all the work you do to make our world a healthier, safer and better place. For this we are especially grateful.
