Benson Hill leverages Conviron & Argus technology

Benson Hill, a leading edge food tech company in St. Louis, MO, announced that it is breaking ground on its 47,000 sq. ft. (4,366 sq. m.) Crop Accelerator. The Crop Accelerator includes a state-of-the-art controlled environment research facility which will feature 20,000 sq. ft. (1,858 sq. m) of dynamically adaptive Conviron growth houses and chambers, equipped with multi-channel LEDs, additive CO2, temperature, humidity and lighting controls. The Conviron plant growth chambers and rooms are all controlled and monitored by Conviron's sister company Argus Controls.

The Crop Accelerator will feature 20,000 sq. feet (1,858 sq. meters) of dynamically adaptive Conviron growth houses and plant growth chambers. The advanced chambers and rooms are all controlled and monitored by Argus Controls.
The innovative facility will enable plant breeding to develop varieties up to four years faster than traditional research facilities and is part of the company’s contribution to a more responsive food system that reconnects farmers and consumers in more sustainable ways.
